Dead Space 2 Is Out....

Been reading the reviews about Dead Space 2 and I am pleased to find out it keeps a lot of the scary and creepiness of the first game. I was a little worried when EA said that the sequel was moving more towards the action side. But from what I am hearing this move was done very well and did not sacrifice the survival horror core that made the first one great.

So I am 100% sure I will be picking up Dead Space 2 this week. I just want to trade in a few games first and one of them is Alan Wake. I downloaded the last DLC for it but never got to play it. So before I trade Alan Wake in towards Dead Space 2, I want to play through the final DLC.

If you haven't played or know nothing about Dead Space, then I highly suggest you pick up the first one before you grab the sequel. As for me, I can't wait to be scared the crap out of very soon by Dead Space 2.

DeAgostini - Neuschwanstein in 3D

Finalmente disponibile in libreria, una serie di volumi realizzati da DeAgostini, in collaborazione con Giuseppe Della Fina e PlaySys.

Abbiamo partecipato alla realizzazione dei vari volumi, offrendo un supporto grafico 3D per la realizzazione dei modellini cartacei da costruire, le istruzioni e parte delle copertine. Questo lavoro non richiedeva un fotorealismo estremo, anzi, per le texture dei modelli ci siamo affidati ai nostri illustratori anziché impiegare degli scatti fotografici, diversificando così il “tocco” nelle varie opere. La progettazione cartacea, fase più complessa in assoluto, è stata gestita autonomamente da Pamela De Lorenzi.

Sono stati realizzati dei modelli 3D a basso numero di poligoni per i vari monumenti, dopodiché abbiamo apportato modifiche, aggiungendo dettaglio laddove necessario e semplificando ulteriormente le zone che sarebbero divenute eccessivamente critiche in fase di costruzione. Anche la realizzazione delle istruzioni, e parte della copertina sono stati realizzati da PlaySys. Nel nostro archivio abbiamo numerosi prototipi cartacei dei monumenti pubblicati e non… sembra un lavoro semplice, ma ci sono molti passaggi dietro ad ogni modellino; spero apprezzerete il nostro lavoro e vi divertirete costruendoli, come noi ci siamo divertiti a realizzarli!

I libri sono destinati ad un pubblico giovane, ma sono un ottimo prodotto anche per studiosi e collezionisti di tutte le età. Con oltre 60 pagine ricche di belle immagini e illustrazioni, stampate ad alta qualità, con ottima rilegatura e copertina rigida, viene raccontata la storia di un monumento, che da il nome al libro, volume per volume.

Giuseppe Della Fina è il direttore del Museo Archeologico di Orvieto, con alle spalle anni di esperienza e numerose pubblicazioni in ambito storico, archeologico e artistico. Basta fare una ricerca con Google per trovare le sue pubblicazioni in vendita su diversi store. DeAgostini unisce una sapiente strategia di marketing, oltre ad un’importante rete di distribuzione internazionale e PlaySys ha aggiunto il proprio know-how di grafica 3D e progettazione.

Al momento fanno parte della collana “I Monumenti”: Il Colosseo, Notre Dame de Paris, Empire State Building e Neuschwanstein.

Trying To Fill My Diablo Addiction.....

I am a Diablo addict, there I said it. I remember getting the first Diablo in 1996 and playing it online via Dial-Up. Ever since then I couldn't get enough Diablo and it quickly became my all time favorite game. I remember logging on to Battle.net and being a part of a guild. Diablo was the first game I played online and with a community of people. It was awesome, and things got better with Diablo 2 and the expansion. Life was good, until the 10 year drought. It has been 10 years since Blizzard released another Diablo game, and I have been dieing to find a game that can help with my withdraw.

With the failed HellGate: London and the bore fest that was Titan Quest I was starting to see that there was nothing that can replace Diablo. Until I discovered a little game last year called Torchlight. Torchlight reminded me of the first Diablo and had a lot of the solid game play that made Diablo great. For the price of just $19.99 Torchlight quickly helped with my withdraw of Diablo addiction. It is an amazing little game that shouldn't be over looked by any Diablo fan. If you are having Diablo withdraw then I would suggest grabbing this title at the store or online via Steam for the PC or MAC. It is also coming to Xbox Live Arcade this Spring. This game is quickly becoming available on many platforms. Which is good, because it truly is a little gem that can't be beat for $20.

I personally can't wait for Torchlight 2 which should be released this summer and their future MMO project based on Torchlight. This should keep me satisfied until Diablo 3 is released sometime in 2012 (we can only hope).
